Two third period goals for the Moose Jaw Peewee A Warriors helped them salvage a 2-2 tie against the Regina Cougars in Hockey Regina League action on Tuesday night.

Ty Winacott had scored a pair of goals over the first two periods for the Cougars as they built up a 2-0 lead heading into the third.

Moose Jaw’s Cole King scored 1:26 into the third to cut the Cougars’ lead in half. Layne Gadd tied the game for the Warriors with 5:38 to go in the game.

Gadd finished with a goal and two points in the tie, while Nolan Kearns and Jasmine Kohl also picked up helpers for Moose Jaw.

The Warriors sit second in the league with a 10-3-3 record. They’re off now until next Saturday when they host the Prairie Storm Thunder at the Red Knight Arena.

Coming up on Wednesday night, the Atom AA Warriors look to build off three wins over the weekend in Estevan as they travel to Weyburn to face the Wings at 7:30 p.m.

In the South Saskatchewan Female Hockey League, the Midget AA Mavericks head to Swift Current to face the Broncos. Puck drops at 7:30 p.m. at the Fairview West arena.

The Atom A Warriors are in Balgonie to take on the Prairie Storm Thunder at 6:30 p.m. and the Bantam A Warriors square off with the Royals in Regina at 8:15 p.m.
