Carnie's Comments

The conversation started here at the radio station when one of our newbies asked if Connaught was an avenue or a street.  The answer is avenue.

We looked it up and found an avenue is defined as "a broad road in a town or city, typically having trees at regular intervals along its sides".  Yep, that's Connaught.

It's interesting to note, I've lived in Regina, Saskatoon, North Battleford and Moose Jaw over the years and I've lived on roads, streets, avenues and one drive, I believe.

I don't believe I've ever lived on a crescent or a cul de sac, though.  I'd put that on my bucket list but I don't want to move again.  Ever.

One of my co-workers told me her dad has a cul de sac haircut.

I said, "What's that?"

She said, "He's balding but he still has hair on the sides and on the back of his head and I call it a cul de sac!"

Oh, we had a good laugh.  But then, I thought, I don't want that cul de sac haircut but it might happen if I live long enough.

Where was I going with this?  I forget and we're outta time.
