Colonel Richard Foster took over from Colonel Alain Boyer, who has held the position since 2003. Col. Foster is arriving from the A3 Readiness Training Unit in Winnipeg.

Colonel Foster is no stranger to Moose Jaw having done his basic flight training here some 20 years ago, and done upgrade training on the Hawk just last year.

"This is an important and exciting time to be a part of the Canadian Air Force but it will make greater demands on our pilots as military officers. The challenge is that our part to play will be to increase the through put of graduates without compromising the standard that NFTC is renowned for both in producing world class military pilots and inculcating the responsibilities of being a credible officer."

Colonel Boyer moves to Winnipeg to assume the position of Director of Air Force Training at 1st Canadian Air Division.
