Moose Jaw's Brian Towriss will be honoured this fall with the highest honour a Saskatchewan resident can receive.

7 very special people are about to receive the province's highest honour. Included on the list of people to get the Saskatchewan Order of Merit is Moose Jaw's own Brian Towriss.

Raised in Moose Jaw, Towriss was an all-star for the University of Saskatchewan Huskies football team and went on to be named the head coach of the Huskies in 1984. He has been there ever since, taking the Huskies to the Vanier Cup 9 times and winning it on 3 occasion.

The Saskatchewan Order of Merit ceremonies will be held later this fall.
