It's happening again... construction is taking place on High Street, putting in water and sanitary services for a local business.

Construction started on Friday but wasn't finished leaving the site open and a portion of the street blocked off on the busiest shopping weekend of the year.

Business owner Darrell Markin of Cross Canada Flooring is unhappy that his business was affected.

"Friday and Saturday, two beautiful days. It's not a hard concept you come, you dig out, you put the services in, you pack the ground, and you leave. It's the busiest shopping weekend, the point is they're not coming in here because there is nowhere to park."

Markin continued saying he thinks it was poor planning.

"Why don't you put a plan in and have to way traffic, but there is nothing. It's just poor planning."

Construction is scheduled to be done by the end of today, December 23rd.
