Crash and fire keep the Moose Jaw Fire Department and Police Service hopping on Labour Day.

A two car collision backed up traffic Monday afternoon around 3:30 on Main Street.

A half tonne truck and a car were apparently involved in the collision at the corner of Fairford and Main Street right in front of City Hall.

No word on injuries or charges.

That night emergency crews responded to another suspicious fire in our city. Officials tells us a donation bin at the corner of 9th Avenue and Thatcher Drive west was found ablaze.

Fire crews responded to the fire around 11pm Monday night and dealt with the situation quickly.

The bin and its contents were all that was damaged. The fire is under investigation.
