Canadians and Jets take their respective game ones.

The Memorial Field Fastball League started their playoffs Tuesday night and it was full of excitement.

In the early game the Canadians edged the Park Hotel Giants 3-1.

Dean Holoien pitched a gem of a game for the Canadians giving up just 1 run on 5 hits with 13 strikeouts. But he says it was a battle from the first pitch. "It was a tight ball game and you want to see tight ball games during the playoffs. You want everybody playing their best and everybody coming out with everything they got."

In the other game the Jets hammered Remax 10-3 to take an early 1 game to none lead in the best of 5 series. The Canadians also lead the Giants 1 game to none.

Game 2 for each series run Thursday at Memorial Field.
