Monday morning’s Provincial Court of Moose Jaw session turned into a semi-marathon as Ryan Buckton was denied.

Buckton chose to self-represent and spoke for an extended period, leading Crown prosecutor Rob Parker to request Judge David Chow to move things along on the crowded docket. Chow ruled to deny Buckton's release from custody.

He is facing numerous charges, but because bail hearings come with an automatic publication ban, they cannot be reproduced for this article.

Buckton is back in court on May 23.
