Icy or slippery conditions persist throughout southern Saskatchewan in the wake of a system that dropped rain and snow Wednesday afternoon into today.

A large section of the Trans-Canada Highway was closed between Moose Jaw and Swift Current following a multi-vehicle pileup.

The accident has since been cleared and roads have been reopened.

However, crews are currently pulling a semi from the ditch which has resulted in the closure of the left lane of traffic in the eastbound direction near Secretan Road, east of Chaplin.
