Giants get by Canadians 12-11, Remax over Jets 8-5.

 

Both series in the Memorial Field Fastball Playoffs are still alive after last night's action.  The Giants nipped the Canadians 12-11, evening that best of 5 at one. 

Despite the loss, the Canadians belted out 3 dingers with Chris Kell, Brett Friesen and Dane Roy all going long.  Dale Garthus picked up the win for the Giants giving up 14 hits, striking out 4.  Xavier Tremblay took the loss.

In the night cap, Remax will live another day after an 8-5 win over the Jets in game three.  The Jets still lead the best of five 2 games to one.  Tim McKaig struck out 6 Jets batters.  Both series resume tomorrow night.
