Two local lacrosse players join Team Saskatchewan in Whitby, Ontario.

It's off to nationals for two local lacrosse players.

Garrett Brownlee and Sheldon Alderton of Moose Jaw leave Friday Whitby, Ontario and the Bantam Box Lacrosse Championships.

Brownlee explains it took extra effort throughout the year to get this special chance. "They hold tryout camps in both Saskatoon and Regina then they hold one big one in Saskatoon to make the team."

Brownlee and the rest of the Saskatchewan Storm open the tournament Monday against Iroquois and the local player says they've got a pretty good chance to shine at the event. "We've practices 5 different weekends over the year and we've got lots of good depth on forwards and good depth on defence."
