Moose Jaw native and former Edmonton Eskimos offensive tackle Joe McGrath signed with on Sunday. The Saskatchewan Roughriders didn't waste anytime getting involved in free agency sweepstakes.

The free agency period started at 11:01 pm and the Riders had already signed former Edmonton Eskimos offensive tackle Joe McGrath. McGrath, a Moose Jaw native, started at right tackle for most of the 2008 season and was added to help with the loss of tackle Glenn January, who signed on with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

The Riders made two deals other deals Sunday. They sent 2007 Grey Cup MVP James Johnson to the Bombers for a draft pick. They also dealt a draft pick to Toronto for non-import linebacker Aaron Wagner.

The Riders also lost free agent safety Scott Gordon to the Edmonton Eskimos.
