The Wood River NDP needs to find a replacement for Trevor Davies after he announces he's not ready for a political career.

You'd think by the time an election was called you would know whether or not you were ready for a political career but for one NDP candidate that wasn't the case.

After winning the NDP nomination for the Wood River Constituency, candidate Trevor Davies has decided to withdraw from the campaign. Something he says he's considered doing for awhile now.

"We kinda decided that at this time I was going to concentrate on my career with SaskEnergy."

The Wood River NDP Constituency Association will now have to find a replacement and a nomination meeting is expected Tuesday afternoon in Assiniboia.

Davies represented the NDP in Wood River during the 2003 provincial election but finished second to the Sask Party's Yogi Huyghebaert.
