The Saskatchewan Roughriders came away from Hamilton Sunday with a 40-23.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders clinched a playoff spot this weekend after posting a 40-23 win over Hamilton Sunday.

Riders quarterback Kerry Joseph had a big day, going 18 for 28 for 392 yards and throwing four touchdowns.   Receiver Andy Fantuz had the third biggest day receiving in Rider history, catching seven balls for 240 yards and three touchdowns.

The game wasn't without controversy, in the fourth quarter Rider linemen Mike Abou-Mechrek and Jermese Jones were ejected after getting mixed up with several Ti-Cats.

The Riders sit second in the CFL's West Division with a 10-5 record.  They're three points back of the BC Lions and five points up on third place Calgary.  Saskatchewan can clinch their first home playoff game since 1988 with a win over Hamilton this Sunday or a Calgary loss to Winnipeg on Friday.
