The Saskatchewan Roughriders appear to still have some kinks to work out before the start of the regular season as they were knocked off by the Edmonton Eskimos 45-12 in their first pre-season game.

Darin Durant started the game for the Riders and completed 7 of 12 passes for 68 yards and one interception before being replaced by Steven Jyles midway through the second quarter.

Jyles who is battling for the back up job with Dalton Bell scored on a seven-yard touchdown run which was set up by a six-play, 73-yard drive.

Former Riders player and coach Richie Hall was coaching his first game as Eskimos head coach.

The Green and White will be back in action next Tuesday (June 23) when they host the Calgary Stampeders.

The Riders will also be hosting their Annual General Meeting on Saturday at the Delta Hotel Umbria Room in Regina.  The meeting will start at 10am and is open to the public.
