Though Saturday's game was postponed to Sunday afternoon for the Moose Jaw Warriors, it didn't matter, as they rolled to a 7-3 win on home ice against the Swift Current Broncos to complete the weekend sweep.

Captain Denton Mateychuk was the game's first star getting four points in the win and his first goal since Nov. 29.

"It was about time, I had lots of chances and was finally able to put one home,” says Mateychuk. "It was a playoff-style game and you want to show the way for everybody and show that you're working hard and the guys will follow. That's what I try to do every night."

The Warriors will now prepare for a home-and-home series with the Regina Pats this weekend, starting on Friday night in Regina.

It was a bittersweet ending for the Moose Jaw WINMAR AAA Warriors as their season came to an end on Saturday. The Warriors dropped a 3-1 decision to the Saskatoon Contacts on the road in Game 5 of their first-round playoff series. It was even more emotional for Ryder Knutson, Liam Fitzpatrick, Grady Hoffman, Connor Miller, Ryan Hicks, Wyatt LaCoste, and Austin Woodley, as it was their last game in a Warriors uniform.

The U15 AA Warriors had a dishearting end to their season on Sunday, as they fell 1-0 to the Regina Aces in Game 3 of their best-of-three series.

It will be an all-Moose Jaw Female provincial final, as the U13 A Carpet One Mavericks beat Warman on Sunday to book their ticket to the big game.

The U13 A Warriors are also going to their provincial final and will play the winner of Saskatoon and Prince Albert.

Over to the Toronto Blue Jays, they rolled to an 8-3 win over the Phillies in spring training action.

And in the NHL, Winnipeg beat Tampa Bay 3-2, and Calgary rolled over Ottawa 5-1.
