Make it 32 wins on the season for the Moose Jaw Miller Express, as they pulled off a 9-4 victory on Wednesday against the Swift Current 57s. Chaz Poppy and Bobby Pokorney led the way at the plate, going 4-for-5. 

Matt Vasquez was solid on the mound, pitching six innings and allowing only three runs on five hits and had two strikeouts. 

The two teams will face off tonight at Ross Wells Parks starting at 7:05 p.m.

Moose Jaw's 18U AA Canucks are preparing for their Tier 1 provincial tournament this weekend in Yorkton. They go in as the #6 seed and will kick things off on Friday evening against the Regina Blue Jays. On Saturday, they will take on the Parkland Expos and North Battleford Beavers. 

Four Moose Jaw Warriors players took part in Hockey Canada's Program of Excellence summer meetings. Warriors captain Denton Mateychuk, Jagger Firkus, and Brayden Yager were among the 45 players in the Under-20 meetings, while 2022 first-round pick Connor Schmidt represented Moose Jaw for the under-17 meetings. 

In case you missed it, the Moose Jaw Winmar AAA Warriors released their 2023-24 regular season schedule. They kick things off at home against the Battlefords Stars on Friday, Sept. 22 at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. 

In the National Lacrosse League, the Saskatchewan Rush pulled off another big trade on Wednesday. 

The Rush received veteran goaltender Frank Scigliano from the San Diego Seals in exchange for a first and second-round draft pick and the rights to unrestricted free agent Kyle Rubisch.

The Toronto Blue Jays picked up the 8-1 win on Wednesday at Dodger Stadium.
