A big congratulations to the Thunder Creek Volleyball 16U girl's team who came back from Nationals last weekend with a silver medal. They were able to take down Manitoba in the quarterfinals, and Nova Scotia in the semis but lost a heartbreaker to the Alberta Aces in the finals. 

Their 15U teams will be in Regina this weekend for the Canadian Volleyball Championships. 

The Moose Jaw U17 AA Ice was able to sneak past the Regina Royals last night 13-12. They will head to Calgary this weekend for the Prairie League Softball tournament and open up the event on Saturday against the River City Hornets. 

Moose Jaw U11 Mustangs took down the Weyburn Thrashers 2-1 on Wednesday night at the Kinsmen, while the U13 squad beat Regina 14-3. 

The MNP Moose Jaw Warriors Alumni Golf Tournament is set to return this July. The 12th annual tournament supporting the Warriors Education Fund will be held at the Hillcrest Golf Club on Friday, July 7.

Last year, the tournament surpassed the $1-million mark in funds raised, which provides graduating players with the opportunity to further their education at post-secondary schools. 

On Friday, the golf tournament takes over the Hillcrest Golf Club for the day with golfers having the opportunity to tee it up with current and former members of the Warriors.

Over to the Western Hockey League Final, the Seattle Thunderbirds doubled up the Winnipeg ICE 4-2 on Wednesday to take a 3-1 series lead with Game 5 tomorrow night. 

And the Blue Jays were able to blank the New York Yankees 3-0 on Wednesday.
