The Moose Jaw Warriors have signed general manager Jason Ripplinger and head coach Mark O'Leary to multi-year contract extensions. The announcement came just before noon yesterday.

The Warriors are preparing for a home 'n home series this weekend against the first place Saskatoon Blades, with the Warriors heading to Saskatoon on Friday night, and the Blades visiting Moose Jaw on Saturday. The Warriors have five games to play in the regular season with playoffs to follow.

The Blades were 4-nothing winners over Brandon last night. Swift Current Broncos beat Prince Albert 4-2 and with the two points, now sit one point up on Medicine Hat for 1st place in the Central Division.

A 3A Boys Basketball Conference this last weekend at Riverview Collegiate saw MJ Cornerstone crowned the winner, beating Maple Creek 83-38.

In the NHL last night the Montreal Canadiens shut out the Columbus Blue Jackets 3-0, Ottawa Senators beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 2-1, and the Calgary Flames fell to the Colorado Avalanche 6-2.

Over to Major League Baseball Spring Training, it was the Toronto Blue Jays over the New York Yankees 8-1.
