It's a Moose Jaw Warriors game day! The Warriors welcome their east division rival, the Saskatoon Blades to the Hangar tonight for a 7:00 p.m. puck drop. The Warriors are coming off a 4-1 loss on Saturday to Brandon, while the Blades suffered a 3-1 loss on Tuesday night at home against the Lethbridge Hurricanes. We will have all the live play-by-play coverage on Country 100.

Sticking with the Warriors, defenseman Max Wanner has come quite a way in his young hockey career, from growing up in Estevan to skating alongside Connor McDavid. The 19-year-old recently attended Edmonton Oilers training camp and just signed an entry-level deal with the NHL club. But Wanner says he's still got a lot of work to do.

"It's one thing to get drafted by a [NHL] team and it's another thing to sign with that team," says Wanner in an interview with Discover Estevan's Nolan Kowal. "It's a pretty big deal, but at the end of the day you still have to go to work every day and show that you deserve an NHL spot."

The potential Warriors of tomorrow, Moose Jaw's AAA squad is preparing for a thanksgiving long weekend showdown with the Prince Albert Mintos, which is set for Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. Grab your tickets at Sasktik.ca or the event centre's box office.
