Residents are being advised for temporary road closures throughout the city on Saturday for the Moose Jawg Charity Road Race. 

The following streets will be closed to traffic between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.: 

  • Fairford Street East from Main Street North to First Avenue Northeast 
  • Fairford Street East at First Avenue Northeast to High Street East. 
  • High Street East from First Avenue Northeast to Second Avenue Northeast. 

There will be no vehicle access for Fairford Street East from Main Street North, First Avenue Northeast, High Street East, Second Avenue Northeast and Manitoba Street East between 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. To access the Phyllis Dewar Outdoor Pool, you are asked to use Third Avenue East to Fairford Street East to access the pool from the east.

Traffic could also experience delays on First Avenue Southeast (Highway 2 South) from Lillooet Street East to Manitoba Street East for a short period of time to allow runners to safely enter Wakamow Valley via River Park Drive. 

Moose Jaw Police Service will be in attendance to provide traffic control. Motorists are asked to obey traffic control enforcement, use caution and be aware of runners in these areas.
