It’ll be standing room only as the Moose Jaw Warriors open their second-round WHL playoff series against the Swift Current Broncos on Friday night at the Moose Jaw Events Centre.

As of Friday at 3:15 p.m., standing-room tickets have been sold out for Game 1.

“Both fanbases really get engaged in it too. We’ve seen it throughout the years that the close proximity of the two communities obviously helps and then with the energy and excitement between the fans and fan buses and stuff going from both cities for games. It’ll make for a fun series,” said Warriors’ Director of Business Operations Jaret Schneider.

For Game 1, doors will be opening at 5:30 p.m. for a party on the concourse. Recording artist Jordyn Pollard will be there to entertain the crowd with live music.

“For this show, it will be solo acoustic, but we will be doing covers of all kinds of music from country to rock to pop as well as some originals,” Pollard said.

Game 2 is on Saturday night at the Hangar. To add to the entertainment, there will be a beer garden set up outside on the front pad on the east side of the Moose Jaw Events Centre.

“It’ll be two really fun nights leading into two really great hockey games in front of full crowds,” Schneider said.

The series will swing to Swift Current on April 16 and 17 for Games 3 and 4. If needed, Game 5 is April 19 night back in Moose Jaw. Game 6 is on April 21 in Swift Current. If the series goes to all seven games, Moose Jaw will host the deciding game on April 23.
