The game started out well for the Tribe when Jason Bast scored shorthanded. Brodie Melnychuk would tie it up two minutes later before Travis Hamonic would put the Warriors back on top 2-1 before the end of the first.
It was all down hill after the first thought as the Wheat Kings would get goals from Aaron Lewadniuk, Nathan Green, Brayden Schenn, Matt Calvert and Chad Erb in the second to take at 6-2 lead into the third.
Brian Sommers would add a goal for the Tribe but the comeback wasn't to be as the Tribe were dropped 6-3.
Jeff Bosch turned away 39 of the 45 shots he faced, while at the other end James Priestner made 21 saves in the win.
The Tribe went 0/2 on the powerplay and 4/6 on the penalty kill.
The loss drops the Warriors record for the 08/09 campaign to 19-50-1-2, finishing last in the WHL.
