"We have had a lot of people asking us to bring it back, so it's back," says Amanda Farnel, executive director of Saskatchewan Festival of Words.

The much requested "Wines Around the World" fundraiser makes a return this year, to be held at the Grant Hall Hotel on February 2nd from 7-10pm.

"We take five wines from different parts of the globe trying to bring you wines that you maybe don't normally get here, or normally see, and then we are working with the Grant Hall, and they are going to make a special appetizer menu to pair with each of the wines," explained Farnel.

The event will also feature a selection of wine for sale, a wine basket raffle, silent auction, and music.

Tickets are $75 per person or table of six for $400, each ticket sold comes with a $30 charitable tax receipt.

Proceeds will go towards year-round programming which includes Writers in Schools, LitCon - a series of workshops for new and emerging writers, and Performance Cafe - an open mic night at The HIVE.

Tickets are available for purchase on the Festival of Words website.
