The youth of Moose Jaw will have a voice at City Hall as the Youth Advisory Committee gets together for its first session.

It’s a chance for our youth to speak up and make themselves heard.

The first ever Youth Advisory Committee meeting is being held Tuesday morning at Moose Jaw City Hall.

Travis Hamonic is on the committee designed to help guide City Hall on issues affecting our young people.

"Whenever you're a youth and you're getting asked, it’s an honour. Being from Winnipeg we haven't had this either so its a first time situation for me and its great to see the city taking into consideration the upcoming youth that will be living in this city for years to come."

Hamonic plays for the Moose Jaw Warriors in the Western Hockey League and is pleased to be able to give back to his adopted hometown.
