The man convicted of killing a former Moose Jaw man has been denied bail, again.

52-year-old Kim Joseph Walker has been denied bail.  He was convicted in 2007 for the murder of 24 year old James William Hayward, a convicted drug dealer.

Walker maintains that he was trying to save his 16 year old daughter from a drug filled life when he shot Hayward in Yorkton 6 years ago.

Walker has appealed the guilty verdict and is trying to be released on bail while the appeal is arranged.

The next step in this case is for the appeal to be heard. We've learned that Walker's lawyer won't be ready for the appeal until March of next year.
