The Wakamow Valley was the site of much activity and excitement on Saturday, June 15. On a bright and warm morning, hundreds of attendees filled the Kiwanis Building grounds to take in the sights and sounds of the pair of events on offer by the Moose Jaw Shrine Club and the Wakamow Valley Authority.

The combination of the weekly Wakamow Farmers Market and the Children's Festival drew in people of all ages, checking out the booths stocked with goods, treats and crafts, and taking in all the events had to offer.

Children waited eagerly for their chance to ride the Moose Jaw Shrine Club's miniature train, joined in on the reptile show, and interacted with their favourite barnyard critters at the petting zoo.

The Moose Jaw Canoe and Kayak Club loaded their largest canoe– a 26-foot-long Voyageur– with passengers for rides on the Moose Jaw River.

Nature Moose Jaw set up on the banks of the river, using nets to gently gather and display the wide array of wildlife that calls the waters in the Wakamow Valley home.
