He made it clear during the campaign and reiterated last night.  Clive Tolley didn't seek the mayor's chair for political gain - he says he just wants to make our city a better place.

"I simply wanted to try and come up with some practical solutions that we face here as a community...I've been a Moose Jaw booster all my life," Tolley said in his inaugural address in council chambers last night.

Tolley said "the status quo is not going to work for our community".  He talked about expanding our income and growing and building our community.

During his campaign, Tolley talked about revitalizing River Street, making Crescent Park and downtown Moose Jaw safe again, fixing the 4th Avenue bridge, planning for a new bridge to southwest south hill and improving sports facilities.

We jumped on the trolley and voted for Tolley and now he needs the support of council, city administration and the community as we move into the future.

I hope he gets it because it seems to me, he wanted to be our mayor for all the right reasons.
