The Moose Jaw Warriors put together a big bounce-back performance last night in downtown Moose Jaw. After a disappointing loss to Red Deer on Saturday, the Warriors rolled to a 7-2 win over the Edmonton Oil Kings at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. Max Wanner returned to the Warriors’ lineup with a bang, posting a career-high two goals and four points in the win. Jackson Unger turned away 25 shots to earn his second win of the season in net for the Warriors. The Warriors now head to Medicine Hat on Friday and then host the Tigers on Saturday at the Hangar.

New city champs were crowned in senior girls and boys volleyball at Saskatchewan Polytechnic last night. The Peacock girls downed Central three sets to one to win the title, while Vanier blanked Assiniboia three sets to zero to win the senior boys' championship.

In the NHL, seven Canadian teams were in action. The New Jersey Devils downed the Calgary Flames 3-2, Vancouver extended Ottawa's losing skid to six games with a 6-4 win, the Vegas Golden Knights ended the Toronto Maple Leafs winning streak at three games, the Montreal Canadiens picked up a 3-2 over Detriot, the Oilers ended their three-game losing skid with a 3-2 win over the Tampa Bay and the Winnipeg Jets defeated the Dallas Stars 5-1.
