Things to do this weekend: July 27-28
Here is a list of events happening in Moose Jaw and the surround area this weekend: Brickspo: Saturday and Sunday Hundreds of LEGO creations will be on display for Brickspo at the Western Development Museum on Saturday and Sunday. The event will also include public talks and a LEGO yard sale. Brickspo runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Regular museum admission applies. You can read more about the event here. Riverhurst Bean Festival: Saturday Make the trip to Riverhurst to take in the eighth annual Bean Festival. This festival has an “old time fair” atmosphere with a focus on family farming, recreation and leisure. Local entertainment will be playing throughout the day in the beer gardens. Also taking place will be a car show, machinery exhibits, petting zoo and children’s activities. The Riverhurst 4-H Horse Club will have their show classes as well. The tradeshow opens at 11 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m. Motocross racing: Sunday The Moose Jaw Motocross Association is hosting Round 6 of the Saskatchewan Motocross Championship on Sunday. Races start at 9 a.m. Entry fee is $1 per person or free for chidren under three years of age. A cash-only concession will be on-site.
